At our school, we encourage safe playground rules. These involve ball game rules, equipment rules and sun safety rules which all contribute to safe, quality recreation.
Playground Duty
Please note: no teacher is on duty before 8:30am.
8:30 am - 9:00 am (Morning)
One teacher is on duty to look after early arrivers. Children are encouraged to arrive at school between 8:45 am and 9:00 am.
11:15 am - 11:45 am (Recess)
Two teachers are on duty with one located at the:
- top playground
- bottom playground.
1:15 pm - 1:45 pm (Lunch)
Two teachers are on duty with one located at the:
- top playground
- bottom playground.
3:00 pm - 3:15 pm (afternoon)
One teacher is on duty in the top corridor window area next to the music room.
Safe Play
It is compulsory for students to wear hats when playing on the playground. They may only wear a red Darlington school hat. These are available in 3 different styles from the front office. Baseball Caps are not allowed.
Children are encouraged to bring their own equipment to school for ball games and co-operative play. All items must be labelled with the child's name.
