Our school library is a place where students can engage with quality literature. During library lessons students are exposed to quality texts, participate in group discussions and develop research skills.
Students come to library once a week and borrow a book using their school library bag. Each year students at Darlington Public School participate in the Premiers Reading Challenge. Students read a number of books which they record electronically. After they read a certain number of books, students receive an award from the Premier of New South Wales.
Our school also has a book parade during National Literacy Week, which is a lot of fun. Watch the website for photos!
