We are redeveloping Darlington Public School to accommodate up to 510 students to cater for projected enrolment growth. The project will deliver:
New innovative learning environments
Pre-school spaces and after school care
A new hall and canteen
Upgraded library, administration and staff facilities
A covered outdoor learning area (COLA).
Progress summary
The School Infrastructure NSW project team has been appointed and Project Reference Group (PRG) meetings have commenced.
The project is currently in early design phase. The concept design is progessing with the appointment of Gardner Wetherill and Associates as the head design consultant.
Consultation has commenced with student surveys, engagement activities during NAIDOC week and P&C-run surveys along with monthly project information booths.
Next steps
The project team will develop the educational model, functional design brief and concept options as part of the design development process.
Consultation will continue with the school and local community.
